Kukogho Iruesiri Samson is a multimedia journalist working with a national newspaper based in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, where he is an Assistant Online Editor. Born in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Samson has lived in several parts of the country, picking up the Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo languages while being exposed to those rich cultures.  He picked an interest in literature early, after being introduced to novels and Readers Digest by his father, and started writing in 2002. His first published poem appeared in The New Nigeria newspaper in September 2003 while he was still an undergraduate student at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

“What Words Can Do?” , a collection of 61 poems, will be available in bookstores nationwide from the 30th of August, 2013.
