Parrésia author Amu Nnadi [Origami Books, 2013] held a stellar reading of his newest collection of poems yesterday in Abuja. Almost seventy books were sold at the event.
The collection, “through the window of a sandcastle”, was shortlisted for the $100,000 NLNG Prize for Nigerian Literature this year 2013. The monthly event, hosted by the Abuja Literary Society at the Silverbird Lifestyle Shop, entered full swing at 7 p.m with readings from Amu Nnadi and his fellow guest, the novelist and theatre practitioner R. C. Ofodile, being alternated with questions from the audience. There was also music from award winning and beloved Abuja crooner, Michael Ogah.
The collection is available in Abuja at the Silverbird Bookstore [3rd Floor, Silverbird] and at the Cassava Republic Store in the Arts and Craft centre opposite the Abuja Sheraton. You can also order via Amazon HERE .
