Artmosphere, a leading literary, arts and performance parley curated by WriteHouse Collective has consistently provided the needed ambience for literary, creative and intellectual empowerment in Nigeria.
This special edition of Artmosphere tagged Artmosphere with Great Minds will play host to two outstanding and consistent Nigerian authors, Chuma Nwokolo, author of short stories collections, and Remi Raji, poet laurete and shortlist of the NLNG Prize for Literature. Both authors will be discussing issues of governance, socio-political existence and their individual creative processes at the event. These authors will be interacting with the audience expressing their creative motives, style and would also delve and relate their works to fundamental and current issues in society.
There will also be music performances by D’Jazz Band, a contemporary music and art conscious band, book gifts and book signings at the event.
Artmosphere is organised by WriteHouse Collective, a creative enterprise, culture and arts firm and supported by Ibridge Hub, a place for people with great ideas to meet, learn and work. This edition is also supported by literary friends across the country.

Chuma Nwokolo is the author of some of Nigeria’s leading Short Stories Collections, Diaries of A Dead African and Ghost of Sanni Abacha. The homourist was writer-in-residence if the Ashmoleon Museum, Oxford, between 2005 and 2007 and is currently a public speaker and publisher of African Writing Magazine. His books include One More Tale for the Road( 2003), Diaries of a Dead African(2003), and poetry collection, Memories of Stone (2006), Ghost of Sanni Abacha(2012) and How to Spell Naija in 100 Stories (2013). He is also the inaugural editor for the Nigerian Writers Series, NWS, project, a publishing project organised by the Association of Nigerian Authors.
Chuma Nwokolo takes particular interest in advocacy, governance and socio-political issues and has discusses themes like post-autocratic stress, social reactions and concerns across social and economic strata.
Remi Raji is a poet laurate and president of the Association of Nigerian Authors. The author who also doubles as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, has held various academic and creative writing positions in the University of Ibadan, universities in Europe, America, South Africa and at the Associaition of Nigerian Authors and the PEN Nigeria Centre. His works have also been performed in Europe, Africa and America.
Remi Raji is the author of five profound collection of poems namely Webs of Remembrance (2001), Shuttlesongs America: A poetic guided tour (2003), Love Songs for My Wasteland(2005), Gather My Blood Rivers of Song (2009), and Sea of My Mind (2013). His works have been translated into French, German, Catalan, Swedish, Ukrainianm Latvian, Croatian and Hungarian. He was recently shortlisted for the NLNG Prize for Literature for his latest offering.
